From our sky high abode at the standard, we were close to the most yummy eateries the meatpacking district has to offer and on top of the Standard bar and grill. We sampled boom boom room, situated at the top of this young hotel. This exclusive club lived up to its reputation and kept us up till the early hours…
Brands we loved were Philip Lim, i can’t get enough of his 3.1 line, its totally up to date, but also painfully timeless, lazer cut scalloped edge lingerie and his wicked ability to mix qualities, will have me hooked for a while yet… Barneys co op, has one of the best selections for lingerie in the world; Brian reyes and VPL are both worthy of showcasing, under slightly see though jersey Ts and peeking out under vests.
Brooklyn had a such a laid back vibe and we felt we had escaped the slick and prescribed side of new york, perfect for rummaging through vintage and picking up pretty and delicate jewellery
trinkets.. our fav store for such pieces was NORBU Bijoux on Williamsburg, we bumped into Alexa Cheung at this store, so safe to say she is a fan too!!
Bye for now NYC, see you again soon… duke and larn
